❇️ Sage Client Illness Policy ❇️
Updated Dec 2024
If you have been recently infected with an illness, and there are unfortunately currently plenty out there to navigate through, we want you to take all necessary measures and the time you need for your complete healing and restoration.
📝There is never a penalty for cancelling appointments due to illness. We appreciate you doing so!
🌟 In general after an illness, we want you to be symptom free before holding an appointment. That healing time generally varies per person.
🦠In reference to testing positive for Covid more specifically,
the latest vetted covid research and the latest CDC revised guidelines for returning to public life after infection....unfortunately just don't match. 🙅♀️
👨⚕️👩⚕️The science and medical professionals that we have consulted on the subject are concerned that the current covid guidance was shaped out of economic fears and pressure, and not a long-term public health concern. And We Agree!
🦠Much of the covid transmissibility research we have reviewed this year, showed a significant amount of people still contagious 10+ days (and some for several weeks) after their outward symptoms subsided. 😥
🌟 Therefore, our current office policy requires a safety bumper of 14 days time from the Covid infected person's latest negative test, and additionally that the client is experiencing no acute symptoms in order to hold an appointment.
Thank you for your care and conscientiousness in this important matter.
As you are probably aware, we serve an immunocompromised population within our clientele and we want to do our best in keeping them and ALL our clients well this season.
So, thanks for looking out for each other.
In Wellness,
The Sage Wellness Staff
Additional Info
We watch wastewater data and local infection numbers continuously for all illnesses of concern.
If we feel the risks are ever more than what our mitigation levels can handle for an outbreak of any type, we will close the office for a time until numbers are safe and stable. Otherwise we absolutely want and encourage all clients to weigh and choose all their life activities based on their own risk assessment.
As with any time, if you are feeling ill in any way, running a fever, have swollen lymph nodes, developed a rash or have unexplained fatigue - please consult your primary care provider, take the appropriate tests and reschedule your Appt. when it is safe for you to do so.
Also, let us know if you are ill. We care and want to make sure you are doing ok!
Thank you for your attention to these protocols and for helping us keep our staff, clients, and community safe.
